In- School and Out-of-School Youth Services
Workforce Investment Opportunity Act funds support programs at local facilities for youth between the ages of 14 and 24 who are economically disadvantaged, displaced, or other special needs. Programs are available for in-school and out-of-school youths. Staff members work with the guidance counselors and support staff from local high schools and community organizations to identify needy students. One-Stop services include improvement of education competencies, connections to employers, mentoring, training, supportive services, and opportunities related to leadership, decision making, citizenship, and community service.
